SEXTON GOVERNANCE Dorothy Sexton • 30+ Years In Nonprofit Governance
Three decades of experience. One transformative framework.
Dorothy Sexton doesn't just advise boards---she redesigns the systems through which boards operate. After more than thirty years working in nonprofit governance, including serving as Vice President and Secretary of the Corporation at the College Board, she has developed a deeply practical understanding of what separates boards that lead from boards that lag.
Her insight is architectural: governance isn't a collection of meetings and motions. It is a system and, like any system, it can be intentionally designed to perform, or ileft to accumulate dysfunction by default. Working with boards and executive leaders across the nonprofit sector, Dorothy helps organizations move beyond compliance-minded governance toward governance that actively accelerates mission delivery and long-term institutional effectiveness.
